As a Software Engineer within the Finance Technology team, you will contribute and lead development initiatives as we migrate our existing Python based solutions to cloud technologies. We are combining modern software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to business problems. You will lead a team and partner with other feature teams to drive modernization journey and support maintenance requests . You will thrive in this environment if you have passion to transform existing application to modern solution, coach, mentor and upskill software engineers, create high quality software engineering products with a drive to manage user expectations and deliver highly impactful solutions.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 7+ years in developing software solutions for web, microservices, batch blueprints using Java or Python or similar, Spring Framework or equivalent, Relational DB, Docker/Kubernetes, some UI experience (Foundational JS, React-JS or Angular or similar), Unit Test framework
  • Experience using CI/CD tools like Jenkins or similar will help adhere to SDLC standards
  • Any experience in Big Data tech stack such as Spark, Kafka, Airflow/Other orchestration framework is a bonus
  • Any experience in public cloud platform is a bonus
  • Any experience in Finance Service Industry is a bonus
  • A passion for software engineering quality, Agile delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Desire to partner with business users to incrementally deliver business value through technology
  • Passion for mentoring , coaching team members and create a high performing feature team
